Review:
Koizumi-Sensei is such a nice, friendly, teacher yet she still teaches firmly and effectively. The class was made so much easier since she taught the class in Japanese but it was alright to say some things in English if we did not know how in Japanese. She was always available after classes by appointment or you could easily just drop by and chat. She cares about a students's progress and doesn't stop until a students feel comfortable with what it is they're struggling with.

Workload:
Work was simple grammar, kanji, or reading worksheets about each night which prepared us for the chapter tests which were relatively the same as the reading questions. We had two quizzes about a week some times on vocabulary and kanji, and a test about every 2-3 weeks.

Review:
Koizumi sensee is great!!! She is probably my favorite teacher at tufts so far. She is very enthusiastic, funny, and greatly encourages students to speak up in class. She is a very easy grader, but she trains you well with the oral in class, and the assignments are very helpful too. The class is not very fast paced, but it was a very fun class to be in. I'm going to be in Koizumi's Japanese 2 class next semester.

Workload:
There are worksheets due for every class, and they take less than half an hour to finish. There are a lot of little quizzes, and they are usually pretty straight forward. An easy class.
