Tufts University: CHNS004 - INTERMEDIATE CHINESE - Chinese - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
I've taken many classes with him, from Chinese one to four and I have loved him all the way through. He is amazing. He explains grammar so well and always makes himself as available as possible to you. He's also very funny in a cute old asian uncle sort of way and he is very interested in student's learning. He is so nice and gives you so much leway, deadlines are always not a big deal if you have a good excuse or just explain your situation to him. I definitely took advantage of this but felt bad about it, but he's so nice.
Workload:
Depends on how much you want to learn. You can get by just doing the minimal work so about 3 hours max of work a week but to really get in your learning you should be studying like 6-7 hours a week. Tests for every two lessons, orals, the end of the year performance (which can be fun, depending on how you write your script), homework for each lesson. Not too much work though.
