Professor O'Leary is great in and out of class.
He is very willing to write letters of recommendation or help out in non academic matters.

Everything is clearly listed in the syllabus, there are no surprises.

David O'Leary | CR195 - Mystics and Mysticism | Comparative Religion2005-11-29

Review:
Professor O'Leary is a very good lecturer. The Mystics & Mysticism course covers five major faith groups. His overview on each is very good. The topic of mysticism and mystics from each of the five is great.

Workload:
Written mid term, weekly readings, major research paper, 13-15 pages, oral presentation.

David O'Leary | CR195 - Mystics and Mysticism | Comparative Religion2005-11-07

Review:
O'Leary is a very intelligent man, however I do not find his lectures to be very enthralling. It is very easy to identify the Reverend within him. He is very knowledgeable about Christianity (obviously) and is capable of speaking of it in depth. However, this is not the case in other traditions such as Hinduism or Buddhism. Still, an interesting topic and a good class, just not quite what I had hoped.

Workload:
- Written mid term: 5 brief ID's, two long answer/essay.
- Weekly reflection paper on assign readings (only for CR0195).
- Major research paper, 13-15 pages.
- Class Presentation on paper topic.
- NO FINAL!!!
