Tufts University: Amy Montali - Studio Art - Medford Campus - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review:
Amy is absolutely wonderful. Her enthusiasm and open-mindedness really heightens artistic confidence. The class atmosphere is very laid-back and the curriculum is loosely organized because she is properly focused on achieving real development and allows for new ideas and discussions. I always looked forward to her classes and often had to talk myself out of doing photography work that I really wanted to do because something less savory was due for another class. I plan to register for any class she teaches in the future, and I would recommend her foundation photography class to anybody.
Workload:
Because people's methods differ, the time it takes to shoot rolls of film varies from person to person, but there was always plenty of time to complete each assignment (a week or two to shoot one or two rolls), and there weren't an overwhelming amount of assignments. This class definitely is what you make of it. If you enjoy photography and care about your product, you will spend more time each week developing and printing outside of class. I'd say I averaged about 4-5 hours a week total.
