Tufts University: Jessica Gugino - Comparative Religion - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review:
This is a fascinating topic, and most of the readings support that. Prof. Gugino is very quiet and sweet, but the lectures were pretty boring. The first half of the semester, she discussed the history of religion and science based on the readings, and that was pretty interesting. She may change the structure, but second semester were student-taught seminars on specific topics followed by discussions. Class became more and more optional.
Workload:
The midterm and final are completely essays. There's one lengthy research paper (10-15 pages) but is really open-ended. The readings aren't too bad and are usually interesting. Attending class became difficult, even for someone like me who never skips class.
