Edmund Dunn | EXP155 - International Management | Experimental College2006-05-11

Review:
First and foremost, Professor Dunn is one of the nicest professors that you could hope to have at Tufts. He's funny, easygoing and is a smart guy with consulting world experience that is relevant to the class. The class covers a lot of good material that is relevant to management strategy and does a good job of really looking at international issues. The points Dunn touches on are interesting and worthwhile, and most of the case studies are good reads. I recommend the course and the professor highly.

Workload:
The workload is relaxed, and instead of lots of papers or other work, the focus is on reading the case studies and discussing them in class. The three short papers are related to the case studies and each make up 30% of the grade. Attendance makes up the last 10%.

Edmund Dunn | EXP155 - International Management | Experimental College2006-05-06

Review:
A good course. Covers areas in International Management from the perspective of an Ex-Venture Capitalist. Great coverage on critical thinking in regards to internatonal markets as well as global leadership. I advise you to take it if you want something that will be relaxed and yet will provide you with some useful knowledge.

Workload:
Case study reading every week. Discussions in class. Group work in class - asked to analyze a certain question posed by Prof. Dunn in regards to the case that week. 3 Papers: 2 Analyses of case studies, 1 Summary of the course. Each paper = 30%, Participation = 10%.

Review:
Definitely take this course if you are interested in economics, finance or international relations. The course provides a unique opportunity to learn from a company executive with actual international business experience. You can learn valuable lessons that are not in the textbooks.

Workload:
This course relayed on case analysis and class discussions that provided the students with cutting-edge tools to understand development of international strategy. You will not be overloaded with work. However, we were asked to do a research on particular cases that are related to each class' topic.
