Tufts University: FAH008 - Intro to Architecture - History of Art - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
This is a great class, though there is a lot of work involved for an intro course. Assignments are clear in their direction and neither the TA nor the prof appreciated any deviance from it. You'll learn a lot and look forward to the class, but it is difficult.
Workload:
The reading summaries every week get tedious when combined with the two large papers and tests for the course. Again, make sure to follow the instructions for the essays very strictly. The mid-term and final are killer (name, date, place, movement, analysis for ~250 slides). The papers are 5 and 10 pages.

If you're just trying to fulfill an arts credit, you probably shouldn't take this class. It?s not the easiest class, but if you are interested in arts and architecture, it is a great class. Abramson is a little soft spoken, but he is an extremely intelligent guy. Lectures are very clear and to the point.
Workload:
When I took the class, studying for the exams was difficult - 2 exams in which you had to memorize names, dates, architects of 200 or so slides. That was 3 years ago... I heard the class has gotten more reasonable with exams. I also had a 10 page research paper at the end.
