Tufts University: Roger Tobin - Physics - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review: Tobin was definitely one of the best teachers I've had at Tufts. He is a great lecturer, and keeps class interesting through demonstrations and questions that require student participation.
Workload: One p-set a week (lengthy, but usually only medium-difficultly problems), one 2-point reading quiz a week, and 2 exams, not counting the final. There are also 3 or 4 more involved computer assignments throughout the semester.

Review: Tobin is awesome. He is clearly very passionate about the subject and does a very good job of keeping 100+ students coming to class and actually engaged in what he's teaching
Workload: Reasonable. Problem sets every week, tests, 2 point pop quizzes on the assigned reading.

Review: He is a really enthusiastic teacher. He keeps everyone engaged and uses a lot of visual aids and class participation to make sure that you do not just learn the information, but you retain it and will remember it later.
Workload: The work load is very reasonable. There is one weekly set of problems that is a combination of a worksheet and some book problems. The recitation time helps to answer questions that you may have about the problems.
