Tufts University: Peter Kvetko - Music - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review:
Prof. Kvetko is very enthusiastic about the course material and is very accessible outside of class to discuss it! He really encourages people to take advantage of his office hours (which are very helpful if you need to clear anything up) & tries to make the material interesting by taking a multimedia approach to presenting it. I think 2005-2006 is his only year at Tufts though, so you may be too late.
Workload:
Straightforward assignments, readings for each class that he encourages you to speed read to get the gist of the article. Three quizzes (matching, multiple choice, short answer, listening), a 4 page concert report, and a final multimedia project - all very doable!

Review:
This class satisfied 2 requirements for me, so it was definitely worthwhile. However, don't take this one lightly! Prof. Kvetko is an ethnomusicologist, so he's really into the material. 3 "quizzes", 1 concert report (3-4 pages), one media project, and a final essay test. Prof. Kvetko is really into the class which is nice. Kind of looks like Eric McCormack from "Will & Grace."
Workload:
Most of the time not too much reading. He says spend an hour a night, but sometimes you wont even be halfway through after an hour. 2 separate readings packets from Gnomon (first was $20, second was $10). All readings are excerpts from ethnomusicological books, so there is a lot of repeat which you can skip after the first time.
