Tufts University: Anselm Blumer - Computer Science - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review: Algorithms is a great course if you don't take it with Blumer! His lectures are extremely boring. His homeworks are pointless. We were always asked about space complexity in a course where space complexity should matter the least. His grading is awkward to say the least. He takes points off arbitrarily and he fights pointlessly hard not to give them back even if he's wrong. He's a smart guy and he answers student questions pretty well but he always thinks that everything is "trivial" and skips explanations and leaves the student in dark (which drove me crazy all semester). I think you would be much better off taking this course with Souvaine.
Workload: Workload was reasonable. Once a week assignments which were reasonable. No programming assignments. 3 Exams and no final.
