Tufts University: Regina Merzlak - Classics - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review:
Every class was Prof. Merzlak read aloud to us the text which we were reading, in a very monotone voice. She gave some commentary on the text which was often anecdotes from her live which were hardly entertaining, or a few actual notes on the text. Overall, a boring but easy class, as long as you attend.
Workload:
Although, there is required reading, you never have to prepare for a class unless there is a test or "round-table discussion." The tests entail identifying passages from the several texts that we have read in the past few weeks. She is very specific in the information that the questions ask. For instance, for lyric poems she asks for the number of the poem, and the volume in which the poem can be found.
