Tufts University: Hillary Crane - Anthropology - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review:
The topics studied in this class are generally interesting, and the readings were engaging, except for one of the books. However, the lectures were boring and irrelevant. Prof. Crane spends much of the class discussing one small point and not integrating the readings into her lectures. She encourages discussion, but often criticizes students' responses to her questions. The assignments are interesting and useful, but Prof. Crane never discusses them in class, relying too much on Blackboard instead.
Workload:
Generally there was not too much reading, except for several books that we did not have much time to read.
Other than that, there were a good amount of written assignments, and there was a midterm and a final exam.
