Tufts University: MUS013 - History of Rock and Roll - Music - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
The class is very entertaining. He plays music and shows different clips in every class. His lectures are a lot of fun and very relaxed. He's definitely very much into what he teaches. He's not terribly interested with student's progress, but that's because most of them do pretty well in class. If you so want to set up an appointment with him, he's available though.
Workload:
Since this semester, he's made the class work a little bit harder and added in 4 essays, which are actually more like responses because they're 1-2 pages, open ended. The midterm and final are multiple choice with very easy, straightforward questions. The readings are fairly lengthy, but interesting. None of the assignments are based on the readings though. Everything is from lectures.

Really fun class, lectures were usually very interesting and Prof. Schloss was entertaining.
Workload:
Grade is based only on midterm and final grade, which I thought was kind of crazy. Definitely do the extra credit, it makes a difference!!

Course is great and so is the professor. Great class to take to fulfill an Arts requirement. Large lecture class and lectures are pretty interesting. Schloss is very enthusiastic and humorous. Learned a comparable amount to other courses but was definitely more fun.
Workload:
Virtually no workload. Textbook readings aren't necessary because he covers it in class anyway. The CD's that come with the book are fun though. Midterm and Final both of which are multiple choice. Most people seem to be in B+ / A- region. Great class.
