Tufts University: Robert Cook - Psychology - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Robert Cook | PSY026 - Animal Learning & Cognition | Psychology2005-12-21

Review:
Professor Cook really seems to enjoy teaching and I thought this was a great class to take. You learn a lot about animal cognition and it is a pretty interesting topic. Just be sure to write careful notes in class.

Workload:
The readings were doable, but the exams were mostly based on his notes, plus a few questions on some of the main points in the reading. The workload was also moderate, and the exams were not difficult. There was a midterm, final, and one final research paper.

Robert Cook | PSY026 - Animal Learning & Cognition | Psychology2005-11-04

Review:
This is a very good course. From what I remember (I took it a long time ago), the lectures are interesting and there is a lot of interactive computer work. Professor Cook is very nice and easy to understand. The only problem is that he concentrates more on pigeons than on any other animal (this is his area of research). The course might as well be named "Pigeon Learning and Cognition." This is a good course to take if you want to learn basics involving animal research.

Workload:
Workload is fair. If you study and keep up you will succeed.
