Review:
Professor Naginski is an expert on George Sand, and she definitely shares her passion and enthusiasm with the class. With her wealth of knowledge, she helps give context and add deep analysis to all of the readings. Class is very discussion-based, and she makes sure everyone shares their opinions and interpretations.

Workload:
At LEAST 100 pages of reading (in French) each week, but the novels/short stories tend to be rather enjoyable. Two oral presentations over the course of the semester, as well as two papers. The first paper can be rewritten for a better grade.
