Tufts University: PSY011 - DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCH - Psychology - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
Amazing class. No surprises, tests cover expected material. Prof. Mumme really wants the students to do well and helps them in any way she can. Very interesting lectures, lots of 'real life' examples and entertaining anecdotes. If choosing between taking Child Dev. (a very similar course) and Dev. Psych definately go with dev. psych.
Workload:
The assigned articles were interesting and even papers weren't that terrible. 2 exams, 3 papers, nicely spaced out throughout the semester.

Tufts University: PSY011 - DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCH - Psychology - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
I loved this class. Prof Mumme always made sure to include home videos and interesting examples into her lectures. She was very open to questions and alternative views. There were no tricks in the class -- go to class and you'll have no problem on the tests. I found that I really only had to skim the book to get an A, because her tests were based on the powerpoints (which she also posts on blackboard) and her examples in class.
Workload:
The workload was very light. We had 2 exams, and a final. One observation paper, a magazine article (like 2-3 pages), and a children's TV evaluation (like 2 pages long).
