Tufts University: PSY025 - PHYSIOLOGICAL PSYCHOLOGY - Psychology - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
Joe Debold is a very funny guy and a fantastic teacher. He gets totally into the material and his enthusiasm is contageous. He teaches Psy25 in lecture format and uses powerpoints as a jumping off point. A word to the wise: while in class do not just copy down whats written on the power points, pay more attention to what Debold is saying as what he says is more likely to show up on exams.

The tests were pretty hard but it is possible to do fine, you just have to put in some study time. Expect to read one 30 pg textbook chapter a week.

This course is great for biopsych majors, or those contemplating the major. It's a lot to know and very detail-oriented, but the professor is really fantastic. I found him accessible and knowledgeable. He really knows how to teach. I definitely recommend the class for anyone considering anything in the bio field.

The readings were average for Tufts, and the exams were fairly based on the readings. There are three exams with an optional final (so you can boost your grade if you did poorly on an exam). He does great review sections and the lectures really do help explain the material. If you do the readings and attend class, it's a breeze. I wouldn't recommend skipping either the readings or the lectures.
