Tufts University: PSY149 - PSYCH OF LANGUAGE - Psychology - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
This class was extremely boring! I couldn't handle it at times. It is frustrating because it is essentially teaching you the mechanics of talking, but it's not like we don't know how to talk or will talk better after the class, so I never saw the point in the class. It was rough, really rough.
Workload:
SO much reading! And the articles were so technical, you get caught up in all of the words that you don't understand. Worst of all, she made us submit questions on the reading to prove that we read. It is a hard class!

Tufts University: PSY149 - PSYCH OF LANGUAGE - Psychology - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
Avoid this class at all costs! The professor cannot form coherent workings of the information she assigns in a manner consistent with undergraduate's knowledge of the field. Essentially she is too scatter-brained to provided intelligible dialog to a class of psych students who probably didn't care for the material in the first place.
She is incredibly knowledgeable however, it seems difficult for her to translate her knowledge to undergraduates who don't have a mastery of the subject...especially with all the unique terms involved. In short...she should be teaching PhD's or graduates.
It is the only class at Tufts I've ever given a 1 to on the teacher eval.
Workload:
Lots of reading...no papers...2 exams.
Readings were further muted by the lack of coherent explanations from the professor.
