Review:
Kenny was a nice guy. The course focuses mainly on theory so it can be very uninteresting. Kenny posted all of his lectures on blackboard, which was a great help for the first two tests but not so much for the final because the notes he posted were like 4 years old so we didn't follow them exactly.

Workload:
The workload was not to bad if you got the answer manual to the textbook, which can be ordered online. It cuts down on the time the homework takes but you can still learn the material well by using it.

Review:
Great professor, he actually tries to get to know his students. Very helpful if you have problems. His test are somewhat straightforward, all the questions come straight from lecture and the book, especially those little things that you don?t think are important. He teaches the concepts, so you really have to understand the material to do well. His test are fair and there is no curve so what you get is what you earn.

Workload:
Fair amount, especially reading the chapters which is very confusing, you have to reread many times in order to understand the concepts.

Review:
Kenny is one nice guy. He is probably the nicest guy in the entire Chemistry department. Too bad, since P-Chem is really an incomprehensible class. The thing is, Kenny understands what he's talking about. He's a PhD! But he has trouble grasping the idea that the undergrads DONT always follow his lectures. When Kenny lectures, he sort of gets into his own little world and has a conversation with himself, while students struggle to keep up. The book that they use for this course is probably the most unhelpful textbook I've ever read. It is full of jargon and is more suited for graduate students rather than undergrads, who have never seen the material. Combine this book with Kenny's lectures and you are in for one bewildering time. The only thing that helped me learn P-Chem was doing the problem sets. It's really too bad that Kenny spends most of his time on theory. I didn't pass this class because I understood the theory. I passed because I could spit back the homework I did on exams.

Workload:
The homework assignments took a very long time to do. Expect to budge at least six hours a week. This is because you'll need the extra time to make sense of Kenny's lectures and the incomprehensible book. If I were you, I'd take this class at another university.
