Tufts University: PS109 - Politics of Race and Ethnicity in American Identity - Political Science - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
This class was not particularly eye opening or interesting. The three hours each week were very difficult to sit through, especially since there were not very diverse or interesting discussions. Professor Schildkraut is nice, organized, and very available to students, but unless you are incredibly passionate about the course topic and have a research topic that you are excited about, you may not particularly enjoy this class.
Workload:
Reading was lengthy, though not really necessary, as long you have a clear idea what is going on. There were two reaction papers, which were easy, but we didn't really receive enough guidance in terms of expectations. There was a take-home midterm of about 8-10 pages (2 questions), and a final paper of 25ish pages. Overall, I thought the grading was fair and things were graded pretty easily.
