Tufts University: SPN122 - ADV COMP & CONVERSATION - Spanish - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
Dean Simpson is one of the most amazing professors I've had at Tufts thus far. He is fair, entertaining, sufficiently challenging, and all around phenomenal. We read interesting literature, studied various aspects of Spanish-speaking cultures, and honed writing skills. I can think of very few professors who could make a class that meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-8:15 tolerable, let alone enjoyable, but Prof. Simpson did that and then some.
Workload:
Normal for Tufts Spanish. Grades consisted of weekly readings, an in-class presentation, an in-class skit, 4 open-ended 3ish page essays, attendance, a take-home midterm, and a take-home final. While it may not sound like it, the class WAS sufficiently challenging.
