Tufts University: Nancy Levy-Konesky - Spanish - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review:
Prof. Levy-Konesky is an amazing teacher. This class is an excellent alternative to the regular SPN0022 curriculum. Levy-Konesky mixes in the regular grammar and vocab with the history, culture and politics of Puerto Rico. She follows an extremely organized and straight-forward curriculum she created herself, and is incredibly passionate about Puerto Rico. She's understanding and wants to help students. I highly recommend this class, and would definitely take another class with Professor Levy-Konesky.
Workload:
Although there is a decent amount of vocab and grammar, it's still not as much as one would have if they were in a regular 22 class. There are 3 tests and a midterm (no final), and one essay. And it's all clearly laid out in 'test-format sheets,' so you're never guessing what's going to be on the tests. You read a lot of Puerto Rican literature, but the prof helps you out a lot. Overall, very manageable.

Review:
Professor Konesky is the best Spanish teacher I have ever had! Her lectures are informative, entertaining and interesting, and are level appropriate yet still challenging. My Spanish skills improved so much after just a few months in her class. She was very helpful and supportive both in and out of class and is certainly someone students get along with.
Workload:
Workload is normal for a language course. Course work consists of daily homework, tests, compositions and an oral presentation. Grading is very fair, and due dates are flexible.
