Review: I think she is one of the greatest professors at the Spanish department. Her classes are always interesting and fun and she is a great person outside of class always helpful.

Review: The professor was enthusiastic about her course, and encouraged class involvement. I most likely will not take another class with her because i do not like her teaching style. We worked in groups every day, answering questions, and then discussing further with the class.
Workload: The readings were generally interesting and enjoyable. There was a midterm and then 2 papers. The problem with this class is that the professor gives homework pretty much every night. She assigns questions having to do with the readings for the following class and you write at least a page response every night. This got very repetitive and annoying toward the end of the semester because we felt like we were in high school and not at Tufts.

Review: Profesora Millay is very concerned with students' progress; she does not interrupt to fix grammar as much as other Spanish Professors that I've had. This makes speaking so much more relaxed, comfortable and likely. The class atmosphere becomes relaxed, inclusive and friendly.
Workload: Spanish homework, I've found, has generally been more frequent than other classes simply because they need to see progress, your writing style and your comprehension. Assignments were given daily, a reading assignment and a comprehension assignment of a page of typed/handwritten answers to questions given to us in class regarding the reading assignment. Not all of these daily assignments were collected and graded, but it is always a good idea to do them, for yourself as well as class participation. Also, there were a midterm and final, as well as 2 papers.
