Tufts University: HIST011 - Europe Since 1815 - History - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
I took this course last spring and overall it was a good course if you like history. Professor Marcopoulos is very approachable, his lectures are pretty interesting and the readings are good overall. The TA I had was very helpful and the section meeting (required) though a bit boring at times, was really useful in the end.
Workload:
In the section of the course I took we had 10 2-3 page weekly essays and 10 journal entries. You could do twelve of each to get extra credit. I thought the essays might be too much at first, but they proved really helpful in studying for the exams. Three exams: an intro exam, a midterm and final. The reading is moderate but well related to what he talks about in lecture. A good grade is certainly possible, but you have to do some work to get it.

Professor Marcopoulos can seem monotonous and boring at times, but you will not find another professor more knowledgeable about their subject matter. Make sure you're in class for a few of his best lectures (Russian Revolution!). Great TA's keep you informed and answer all your questions in mandatory section.
Workload:
One 1-2 page paper a week based on the lectures for that week. 25ish pages of reading per class. One early exam, a midterm, and a final, none of which include the material covered on previous exams.
