Tufts University: HIST095 - African American History to 1815 - History - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
I really like Prof. Gill. On a personal note, he is a very nice man, very friendly, makes an effort to get to know his students and even occasionally buys tickets to events on campus and gives them to his students. He is also very involved in campus life and shows up at lectures, discussions, performances, rallies, etc. In the classroom, Gill is a very clear lecturer and pretty dynamic. He teaches well and is very fair.
Workload:
Assignments were a decent amount of reading each week, but not too much. We had a midterm, a final, and a final paper. Reasonable. There were also optional review sessions held with a TA every week to go over stuff. I went before tests and she was helpful.
