Tufts University: HIST102 - Environment and Civilization - History - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccessReview:
This was definitely an amusing class. FFA as he calls himself is a character, but a knowledgeable one. The course consisted mostly of him lecturing, loosely based on powerpoint slides, but mostly consisting of entertaining tangents. Class discussion was highly encouraged. The topics covered were pretty interesting, and applicable to today's problems. The professor was friendly and approachable, if a bit crazy, and he had the whole class over to his apartment for an end of semester get together, which was fun.
Workload:
There was only one grade for this class- a paper due at the end of finals period, which could be about anything relating to the class, so pretty broad. Haven't gotten the grades back yet, so can't say what kind of grader he is, but as a result, you really don't have to do any work during the semester, unless you want to do some reading to be able to keep up with the discussions in class.
