Tufts University: L. Michael Romero - Biology - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review:
Michael Romero is an excellent professor as far as teaching the various biology aspects in easy to understand ways. He is very enthusiastic about the different ethical questions in biology and maintains an unbiased presentation of the different viewpoints by playing Devil's advocate at times. He presents a variety of real life examples of different text book key points and I felt I have learned more in this class that will be of use to me than a more book based class.
Workload:
All assignments are given in the syllabus far in advance and there is only one major presentation that involves a nine page outline, not a paper! This allows students to do the research and find out information in a logical manner but not have to write an entire paper. There are usually about 12-20 pages of text book reading a week with two or three biology ethic readings as well. I felt that the readings and text book presented the information in a straightforward manner and the major parts emphasized in class were on the test.
