Tufts University: Evan Haefeli - History - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review:
I took professor Haefeli's Colonial North America course during the spring and it was quite a good experience. He's a new professor but is a famous one because he draws visitors to his class almost every week. Class discussions happen almost every day and he teaches in a very interesting manner. He is a very serious professor who is professional and concerned with how students do in his class. In this particular class, I felt that he picked very interesting reading material. This is an excellent example of a fun and learning experience.
Workload:
I would expect that even though it is a different theme that he will make you write about 5 2-4 page assignments, and 1 final 7-9 assignment. You should expect to read about 6 to 7 books (one textbook). About 30% of the grade is on participation which is based on leading two class discussions and turning in 3 one page response papers to reading assignments. You may expect to read 100 pages a week. No final exam. Final grade I believe is mostly dependant on paper assignments.
