Tufts University: Andrew Morrison - Economics - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review:
I disagree with the previous reviewer, who gave this Professor a 5 for Macro. The previous reviewer found the class interesting, but I have to say I was bored silly. Perhaps that is just the nature of big lecture classes: booooooooooring. Full disclosure: I have hated ALL the big lectures I've had at Tufts, except PS 51 with B. Connolly)
On the other hand, I can't think of anyone in the Econ department who could teach this class better than Prof. Morrison does (I'm a senior Econ major), so if you have to take Macro, take it with Prof. Morrison rather than anyone else (especially avoid Prof. Bianconi, who takes boring to amazing new levels of boringness).
Also, if you love the English language (or are anal retentive), prepare yourself to hear Prof. Morrison say "particularily" several times a day. Excuse me Prof, that is not actually a word...
Workload:
Some of the problem-sets felt like busywork, but one can argue that busywork (repetitive, tedious questions) is a good way to learn at the introductory level.
I definitely wouldn't call the class "hard."
