Tufts University: Winifred Rothenberg - Economics - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review:
If you thought taking this course would be an easy way to fulfill your econ requirement for IR, think again. Professor Rothenberg is obviously enthusiastic for the course, she enjoys her students, and enjoys explaining her knowledge of the topic; she loves economic history, perhaps even too much. The problem lies in the delivery of the course subject matter. She can be overly redundant, and monotone, and it is very hard to listen to her -- old age? She also doesn't understand political correctness, often committing racial stereotypes in her daily lectures. She also ends class 10 minutes late for each class without fail. Her essays are tremendously difficult unless you have unfailing attention to detail. Her redeeming factor is that she gives plenty of time to write them. This class is not worth taking...
Workload:
Reading assignments if you actually do them, are ridiculously long and tedious. 100 pages and more each week. Papers due every other week.
