Tufts University: Wentworth Bowen - English - Professor ratings, reviews and much more | JumboAccess
Review:
I made the mistake of assuming this class would be interesting and fun because of the title, and it was the biggest mistake of my life. The film selection is terrible, and screenings quickly become a tiresome chore as opposed to a fun addition to the class. Professor is nice, but old-fashioned, stiff, and seemingly unenthusiastic about the material. He appears to casually dismiss all ideas and opinions that differ from his own, and does not leave much room for creativity in discussions or writing.
Workload:
Weekly film screenings, one group research presentation, and lots of writing. A few short, relatively open-ended essays to begin with, several longer papers about the films, and one 10-12 page research paper on a topic of your choice. Instructions are confusing, but profressor allows for an unlimited number of revisions, so you can ultimately get the grades you want.
