Review:
Professor Whitney is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is really energetic and encourages interesting and cooperative class discussions. She is NOT an easy grader, but she allows rewrites to help improve your grade. She explains everything very well and is concerned with the wellbeing of her students. I was not looking forward to taking this class, but it turned out to be very rewarding and fun.

Workload:
10 short stories, 10 1 page papers based on short stories, 5 longer papers (1250-1750 words each). Class discussions. Semi-hard grader, but reasonable. She often requires you to meet with her outside of class to talk about a paper, either before or after it is graded.
