Gail Kaufmann | MATH012 - Calculus II | Mathematics2004-12-17

Review:
Prof Kaufmann is consistently thorough, kind, clear, accurate and concise. If she could teach every course offered the students who get the opportunity of having her in class will benefit immensely by her style.

I hope to have her for my upper level courses because I have never felt better prepared to go on in Mathematics as I do at this time.

Don't miss having her show you how to do Math made easier.
She is a teacher role model for others in the math dept as well as teachers to be!

Workload:
Straightforward and normal.

Gail Kaufmann | MATH012 - Calculus II | Mathematics2004-09-02

Review:
Professor Kaufmann is an extremely kind and enthusiastic person. Beyond that, she is an excellent teacher. Her notes on the board are always clear and easy to understand. She is able to break down difficult concepts and explain them with great ease. She also goes over every question on a homework question if the class requests it. If she were to teach a higher level math course, I would certainly look to have her again.

Workload:
The coursework is the same for every MATH0012 - Calculus II class, no matter who the professor is. Homework assignments are daily, but they are not very difficult. Some are harder than others, but generally they won't take you more than an hour. The exams tend to be a bit more difficult than the homework. It is rumored that Calculus II is harder than both Calculus I and Calculus III.

Great teacher, very clear with material and makes herself highly accessible outside of class.

I thought the tests were rather difficult, but I generally felt prepared for them.

Gail Kaufmann | MATH011 - Calculus I | Mathematics2004-04-20

Review:
Professor Kaufmann is amazing. She explains everything very clearly; taking time to make sure everyone understands what is going on. She does not waste time though and will write out solutions to problems rather than spend all of class time going over homework. I took her again just because she was so great with Math 11. She is concerned about students and very enthusiastic about teaching.

Workload:
Daily homework and 4 exams including the final which counts twice. One exam is dropped.

Gail Kaufmann | MATH011 - Calculus I | Mathematics2004-04-14

Review:
Professor Kaufman is great. By far the best math teacher I have ever had. She takes the time to explain everything, no matter how basic the question. Energetic and pleasant professor.

Workload:
3 tests and a final. Tests count once, final twice. Homework every day, if you do all the homework you get an extra point on the final grade. Same tests/standards for all Math 11 classes.
