Lisa Perrone | MATH011 - Calculus I | Mathematics2006-03-14

Review:
I love Professor Perrone. She's one of the best math teacher if you are the kind that struggle with math. Her explainations are within the range of normal human mind (aka non math-majors) Even though he does make calculation mistakes (which hard-core mathies hate) I really don't mind at all. Overall the class is great.
She's also great at answering question, and answers them well. She's also pretty available after class.

If she teaches Calc II I would have taken it.

Workload:
Standard Calc amount, not much to say.

Lisa Perrone | MATH011 - Calculus I | Mathematics2005-12-14

Review:
Awesome professor who really cares about students' progress. She is organized, really enthusiastic about the class and seriously knows her stuff. She's big on making sure students understand the concepts behind everything and always stops to make sure everyone is following along. Homework is usually discussed at the beginning of class; students can raise any questions they have and she always does her best to help (if she runs out of time in class, she'll email the notes, solutions, extra problems, etc.). Highly recommended.

Workload:
Homework assignments every night (due the following class), three midterms, and one final. All Math 11 students get the same assignments and take the same exams.

Lisa Perrone | MATH006 - Finite Math | Mathematics2005-06-29

Review:
Professor Perrone is a happy-go-lucky professor who encourages class involvement (as much as one can in a math class). She definitely is concerned with student's progress, and ask the class again and again to make sure. Very approachable and friendly.

Workload:
Took differential equations with perrone, have never taken finite math so N/A

Lisa Perrone | MATH038 - Differential Equations | Mathematics2005-01-15

Review:
Personally, I don't really think professors matter that much in math, because you really just need to study from the textbook. But Professor Perrone does a good job of getting across the material in class. She genuinely cares whether or not you understand the material, and tries to help you understand to the best of her ability. She?s pretty enthusiastic about the course. And is usually available outside class. The consensus is that differential equations is easier than Linear Algebra and Multivariable Calculus.

Workload:
Reading is essential to math!!!! But it?s up to the individual. Doing HW is also very important to doing well in class, but it?s also not required, they tally the ending amount of hw you did and divide the total number by 5 and add that number to one of your test grades. 3 midterms, one final.
